- The year
- The Company made a profit before taxation of £6,678,000 (2024: £18,024,000) for the year and turnover of £108,643,000 (2024: £118,942,000). The Company has net assets of £109,135,000 (2024: £104,234,000).
- Outlook
- The switch to new technologies has now clearly impacted the production site associated with the business and the focus for the UK business is now on rebuilding the base using BPA free materials, the company has the technology to achieve this but it will take time for approvals to be in place and it is going to have some material impact on revenue in the years 2026-and 2027 in the beverage segment. The coil coatings business remains robust; volumes and market share are dominated by supply to the UK domestic coil coating companies and in turn the evolution of both EU protections and corresponding UK protections for the steel business are expected to have positive benefits for UK domestic coil coaters and in turn benefit supply from Deeside. Longer term developments to supply this segment with more energy efficient technologies are well underway for development but not likely to impact 2026/2027.
